My passion for health and wellness began at a young age. Growing up in the Midwest, I was very shy and insecure. As a young adult, I turned to unhealthy foods and smoking to numb uncomfortable emotions and cope with difficult situations. I could no longer ignore the signs and symptoms that my health was declining since my body constantly felt stagnant and uncomfortable, my mind restless and my mood erratic and inconsistent.
As I began my search for tools to help heal my body, I was disappointed with the treatment I was offered. Even trying to learn more about my irregular menstrual cycle, for example, proved almost impossible through western medicine—doctors seemed only interested in covering up my symptoms with pills. At age 19, this initiated my quest to discover the root of my health issues, which led me to holistic healing. It wasn’t until I started to go deep and look at what was at the core, what was underneath my frustration, my sadness, my overeating, that I was able to make a conscious decision to shift patterns beneath the surface.
I made a commitment to myself, and to my wellness. It was a worthwhile journey that completely rejuvenated and restored my life. It required me to find helpers, guides and supports along the way; individuals who were living how I wanted to live. I found answers and clarity through alternative medicines like chiropractic, acupuncture, massage, herbal remedies, energy work, yoga, and many other modalities that view the body as an integrated system. I was able to tackle my struggles with acne, weight fluctuations, digestive issues and hormonal imbalances. What I didn’t expect was the dramatic improvement in my emotional life which manifested in healthier relationships with family and friends—and my relationship with myself.
The profound healing I experienced inspired me to begin a career that would allow me to help others
find their path to wellness, so they too could undergo profound life change. After 12 years of
experience in this field, I now see my work as a creative process involving trust in intuition and
freedom to allow each client’s individual path to unfold. My life mission is to guide, empower and
support women so they can connect with their truth, personal power and authentic selves, and
hence lead happier and healthier lives.
